[poetry] Canadian Spring

As I arrived in Toronto last sunday on the train from Ottawa, it decided to start raining. And man, did it rain. And I’d left my sweater in my suitcase which got to spend the night in Union Station before making it’s way back to London after numerous phone calls. ^^ So the last update for today is a poem essentially complaining about the rain and it’s title Canadian Spring as a result. Enjoy it!

So cold! So cold!
It’s supposed to be Spring!
The grass should be green
And flowers should be blooming.
Instead, it is gloomy
This Canadian Spring.
The people are cryin’
“We’re sick of this rain!”
We want the sweet sunshine
To warm our chilled skin.
We’ll deal with allergies
And fat shedding cats.
Just give us some sunshine
This Canadian Spring
